...but to make it more usable (i.e., able to be chopped up for quilting,) I reworked the concept so that the main piece could be more like this. This is just a very rough sketch & not polished in any way. The color palette would stay in shades of grassy greens & blues & I see it with a muted, tone on tone, thin, light brown stripe in the background:

...and here's after messing with it just a little bit on an illustrator-type program (colors too heavy, but it's the rough idea.)
